An outing among friends recently found us at Parkside 23 – “the only restaurant in Wisconsin with an on-site farm “!
It’s a little chilly outside to roam about the property this time of year. And besides, we came for the reputation of great food, not a tour. We were blown away by the great atmosphere, the great service (thanks Brett), and – did I mention it already – the great food!
You’ll find their menu organized by price range, not by appetizers & entrees, so we’ll leave the classification to you, but we ordered the Pork Fries before our main dishes and…wow!
This dish consists of Zesty BBQ sauce, Wisconsin beer cheese, poblano peppers, and bacon. The zesty BBQ sauce? Just right. Poblano peppers? Not overwhelming to the palate. And bacon, of course. Delicious! This dish is listed on the menu as gluten free.
